MY NEW FAVOURITE POPCORN | POPCORN SHED
The Popcorn Shed was kind enough to send me some of their POP-alicious popcorn to taste!
The Popcorn Shed is a family owned business based in Great Britain, who actually started out in a shed. Yes, that's right. A shed. You'd never guess that from the name!
Their mission is to create unique flavours and to make great tasting popcorn!
Lets see how they do...
First of all, lets talk about the packaging. Not only does it represent where their company came from, a shed, but it also showcases British culture as we Brits love our sheds- especially cute, beach-looking sheds!
I like how it gives little personal touches on the packaging too, like 'Our story' on the side of the packaging which tells customers a little about their company, that it is family run and how it all started, as well as including their personal signatures at the end- which i think is a lovely touch! I love the colour scheme for the packaging too! Each colour goes perfectly well for the flavour. I think the images on the packaging using the popcorn is so cute and very creative! It catches people's attention and is a fun way to show popcorn!
Enough about the packaging. Lets get down to the taste testing!
The popcorn Shed has 3 different flavours; Pecan Pie, Salted Caramel & Rich Chocolate.
I was pleasantly surprised by the pecan pie flavour as i've never tasted pecan pie before. If I had to compare to something i'd say it tasted similar to really, really, sweet coffee with a hint of caramel.
The salted caramel popcorn has to be my favourite! I really liked contrast of the sweetness of the caramel and saltiness of the popcorn. Most salted caramel things don't usually get the ratio of sweet & salty right, but these guys did!
As a chocolate lover, I already knew I was going to love the Rich Chocolate flavoured popcorn. What I loved most was HOW chocolatey it was, right to the core!
