Made with rose, orris root & grapefruit, this gin offers a unique blend of flavours. I really enjoyed the presence of grapefruit as it wasn’t too overpowering like grapefruit can sometimes be. I loved the delicate notes of rose as it worked so well and gave it a hint of floral throughout. The orris root also provided a nice sweet, almost parma-violet flavour which complimented it nicely.
I like how this gin doesn't rely heavily on the usual juniper flavour but instead uses botanicals to create its unique flavour. All of these components work great together and provide an interesting, authentic approach to pink gin.
in my ‘Gin-pinion’, this lovely pink gin works best with a plain tonic water such as fever tree or lemonade as you don’t want to overwhelm the flavour profile of the gin with a flavoured tonic. It’s best to let all of those great notes to come through themselves with an accompanying tonic or lemonade to compliment it perfectly. My personal fave is a fever tree Indian tonic water or if you really do want a flavoured tonic, try fevertree’s elderflower tonic as its offers a hit of elderflower, which I think goes well with any drink!
