Maluco Pizzeria | New Menu Launch

Maluco Pizzeria | New Menu Launch

Maluco Pizzeria invited me down to their menu launch to try out their new additions.

We started off the evening with some delicious garlic pizza bread which had the perfect amount of garlic- not too overpowering but a nice subtle flavouring. I really enjoyed the texture and taste of the dough they use-nice and thin, not too ‘doughy‘ and very light really allowing the other flavours to come through. One of the most surprising additions to their new menu was the cornflake halloumi fries! Yes, you read that right. I thought this was an interesting take on the classic halloumi fires. providing a crispy outer texture with the cornflakes and a lovely gooey cheesy centre inside.

Next, we tried the BBQ pulled port pizza. Now, normally I’m not much of a pork fan, especially on pizza but I’ve got to say all of the flavours really worked well together creating a tangy bbq taste.

*Pizza break* We all know pizza & pasta area great combo and Maluco showcased that perfectly in with their new dishes! One of my favourite dish of the evening had to be the chicken & bacon pasta- it was so rich, creamy, flavourful and the breadcrumbs really gave it that added crunch.

*Back to the pizza* I seriously enjoyed tasting the ‘What The Duck‘ pizza as it had a combination of sweet & savoury with the classic hoisin sauce we all love. Plus it’s basically a Chinese on a pizza, what more could you want!

I thought te America spicy pizza had a nice spicy aftertaste and a great pepperoni flavour. It felt like your normal standard pizza order but with a kick.

If you’re a meat-lover, then the meat feast pizza is for you! It was a meat-lovers heaven in a slice and offered lots of different meaty flavours.

And finally, the unusual & tasty Chicken Kiev pizza was one of my faves! It actually tasted like a chicken kiev and all of the herbs, chicken & cheese complemented each other to form a really authentic and morish pizza.

I really liked the decor too in Maluco, it offers a rustic-chic, Brazillian vibe with an intimate feeling.

Thank you so much Propel for inviting me down to try out Maluco’s impressive new menu!

If you’re a pizza lover, definitely go check out Maluco on Castle St in Liverpool!
